More Recognitions for Candlemark

To those who are accompanying the small but intrepid starship Candlemark on its journey, we continue to have slews of recognitions!

1.  Publishers Weekly has been consistently reviewing our titles.  Of the 11 titles published/upcoming during my tenure, 9 received PW reviews — overwhelmingly positive, including 2 starred ones.  Kate had an equally strong record, and I’m thrilled to have upheld the tradition she established.

2. Analog has taken notice of our work: Don Sakers, their main reviewer, said in a review honoring small presses (in the May/June 2018 issue) that “Candlemark has been rocking our world” and he has been enthusiastically reviewing our science fiction titles as they emerge.

3. I was recently contacted by the Dick and Tiptree award organizers, who invited me to submit eligible titles for consideration. I don’t know if any of the titles I send will be winners or even finalists, but it’s amazing to just be asked!

We’re clearly making a potent impression — not an easy feat in the genre’s exuberant noise!  We’ll keep shaping the dark, per aspera ad astra.  Thank you all for taking this amazing journey with me!
