Melissa really needs no introduction, she’s among the brightest stars in the firmament of SF. With a PhD in history from Brandeis, she has published more than thirty original novels and several short stories, most with queer themes and characters. She is known for her expansive and effective world-building, has won a slew of awards, and has been a pioneering forerunner in many trends that went on to become foundational in SF.
Because GoodReads giveaways are no longer free and our coffers are of the usual size for indie micro-presses, we will be doing a direct giveaway for Finders. I’ve never read a space opera novel. I’ve read and watched Sci-fi material, but never in the opera genre. The name itself never sounded appealing. However, I had a professor for my creative writing workshop who writes space opera and her stories always sounded interesting. I just never had the money to buy her books. The story in the giveaway sounds intriguing, I hope to be able to check it out.
